Adranos is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Technician to support its rocket motor research, development, and production efforts. 


Adranos designs, tests, and produces rocket motors utilizing ALITEC, the highest performing solid rocket fuel in the world. ALITEC dramatically increases the range and payload capacity of various launch systems, including missiles, hypersonics, space launch platforms, and various other systems utilizing solid propellant. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform energetics research, development, and manufacturing processes, including but not limited to mixing, casting, machining, and other similar processes
  • Perform component assembly processes, including but not limited to assembling rockets, casings, nozzles, and other relevant parts
  • Perform research and development activities, including but not limiting test firing of rockets
  • Set up and maintain a variety of equipment
  • Assist with quality control
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities based on the needs of the organization


Required Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
  • 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing operations
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience repairing facilities and equipment
  • Proficient with computer applications

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to wear a respirator for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment
  • Fit enough to deal with regular stair climbing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, and standing for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting at least 45 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling

Adranos is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead rocket motor research, development, and manufacturing operations at its coastal Mississippi facility. 


Adranos designs, tests, and manufactures solid rocket motors for various launch systems, including missiles, commercial space platforms, and various others. Adranos is focused on implementing innovations to increase performance and reduce the cost of solid rocket motors.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the operational lead for all site activities, including but not limited to safety, materials testing, materials manufacturing, quality control, inventory management, personnel management, facilities and equipment maintenance, and all other site operations
  • Coordinate with the engineering department during design and specification requirements to ensure manufacturability and that quality attributes can be met
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with the supply chain department to ensure all required specifications are met and that supplies are procured in a timely manner
  • Lead teams performing energetics research, development, and manufacturing processes, including but not limited to mixing, casting, machining, and other similar processes
  • Lead teams performing component assembly processes, including but not limited to assembling rockets, casings, nozzles, and other relevant parts
  • Support engineering, research, and development activities, including but not limiting test firing of rockets
  • Perform hands-on research, development, and manufacturing tasks where necessary
  • Lead efforts to obtain and maintain ISO 9001/AS 9100 certifications
  • Provide oversight for the maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Design and implement processes and procedures to accomplish company objectives
  • Training new personnel
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities based on the needs of the organization


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or other related field
  • Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
  • 10 years of experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing operations
  • Proficient with computer applications
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Desire to work within a small team and make a large impact on the aerospace and defense industries


Other Valued Attributes:


  • 5 years of experience in energetics manufacturing operations
  • Experience working with 1.1 and/or 1.3 explosive materials
  • Experience with mixing and casting energetic material formulations
  • Experience manufacturing solid rocket motors for a major prime contractor
  • Working knowledge of propulsion fundamentals and/or gas dynamics

Adranos designs, tests, and manufactures solid rocket motors for various launch systems, including missiles, and commercial space platforms. Adranos is focused on implementing innovations to increase performance and reduce the cost of solid rocket motors.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • This individual will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will have the ultimate responsibility for personnel safety and regulatory compliance as follows:

    • Supervise a team of scientists and engineering technicians in safe handling, data collection, and research related to activities involving the manufacturing of metal powders and propellants;
    • Establish, implement, and maintain a safety program throughout the organization;
    • Develop and conduct safety training programs for all staff;
    • Provide day-to-day oversight of project activities and ensure adherence to established safety protocols and related training.

  • This individual will also have the ultimate responsibility for product quality and related regulatory compliance as follows:

    • Validate quality product specifications and quality attributes; measure and document objective evidence; determine operational and performance qualifications; develop and update quality processes;
    • Provide guidance to engineering to best utilize quality processes and techniques and ensure customer requirements are met;
    • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including corrective actions, failed processes, recalls, return merchandise and re-validations;
    • Support manufacturing and quality project planning and scheduling to ensure consistent execution and delivery of products and services;
    • Champion ISO 9001/AS9100 certification and compliance.


  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant, hand-on experience in the propellants and/or munitions field, which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of military, commercial, and other types of energetic materials or a Master’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience
  • Expertise in the establishment and management of safety programs supporting propellants and other energetic materials and providing safety training and instruction


Other Valued Attributes:


  • 5 years of quality management experience in the aerospace and defense manufacturing environment
  • Certified in ASQ - QE

Adranos is seeking a Senior Designer, Rocket Motor Hardware to support its rocket motor research, development, and production efforts. This position will join Adranos as a leading member of the R&D team, focusing on hardware design for next generation solid propulsion systems. 


The candidate most suited to this position would have experience designing rocket motor hardware (i.e., casings and nozzles) in military and/or space launch applications.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead all hardware design activities in the company
  • Develop design concepts, models, and detailed drawings for the manufacture of parts for booster casings, tactical rocket motor casings, and other flight structures
  • Develop component specifications and procedures
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and outside vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Develop test plans and technical reviews
  • Interface with customers, including making presentations and drafting formal reports
  • Perform various other related tasks as required by the organization


Required Qualifications:


  • Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
  • At least 5 years of rocket motor hardware design experience 
  • Proficient with relevant computer applications, including CAD (Solidworks), FEA, and Microsoft Office products
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Desire to work within a small team towards making a giant leap in solid propulsion performance
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited organizational structure
  • Excellent interpersonal, research, and time management skills
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing many tasks at once

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop test matrices, test data requirements, success criteria, and test fixture details
  • Work within a team to determine test plans and configurations
  • Prepare and conduct test readiness reviews
  • Perform various tasks necessary for testing energetic materials and solid rocket motors
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and outside vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Interface with internal and external customers, including making presentations and drafting formal reports
  • Perform various other related tasks as required by the organization


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
  • 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited organizational structure
  • Excellent interpersonal, research, and time management skills
  • Willingness to assist with projects that drive the company forward regardless of whether they are your responsibility or not
